Franziska Unger was born in Heilbronn and studied Architecture in Dresden. After working as an architect she moved to visual art and filmmaking. Starting with realizing music videos and now directing her own movies. Her short films has been awarded and screened internationally. Her artistic practice is divers and involve different forms like collages, visuelle effects, animation and found footage. The subjects of her films are political with an activistic demand.
